What it does.
- It decides. Three picks, not a list. You came to the group chat for plans, not homework.
- It knows your group. Once it's onboarded, it knows where you're based, who's in, and the kind of stuff you like.
- It pulls from real places. Restaurants and bars from Google, flights from Skyscanner, stays from Airbnb, tickets from Ticketmaster. Live, with links.
- It stays out of the way. Tag it when you want it. Otherwise it reads along and says nothing.
How it works.
-
Add Khichdi to your group on WhatsApp. Whoever adds it gets a quick DM with a couple of questions about the group's vibe and home base. Takes a minute.
-
Tag it when something needs deciding. "@khichdi where are we eating Saturday?" "@khichdi find us flights to Nashville for Memorial Day." "@khichdi Phillies vs. Mets, three of us, July." Talk to it the way you'd talk to the friend who actually plans things.
-
Get picks back. In the same thread, in the chat, with links. Argue with it. Say "different neighborhood" or "cheaper." It'll come back with new picks.

Khichdi is a bot you choose to add to your group chat. For it to be useful, it sees the messages in groups it's part of. This page explains what we do with that.
What we collect
- Messages sent in groups Khichdi is in, while it's in them. It can't see messages from before it joined.
- Group metadata: group name, member phone numbers (visible to any participant in a WhatsApp group), and the profile your group admin gave us during onboarding.
- For SMS users: your phone number and the messages you send to Khichdi's number.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers.
- We don't read your other chats. Khichdi only sees groups it's been added to.
- We don't use your messages to train a public model.
What we do with it
Messages and group profiles are used to generate replies through Anthropic's Claude API. Third-party tools we call to find places, flights, stays, and tickets (Google, Skyscanner via RapidAPI, Airbnb via ScrapingBee, Ticketmaster) receive only the specific search parameters needed. Not your message history.
Retention
Group profiles persist while Khichdi is in your group. Recent message context is fetched on demand and not stored long-term. If you remove Khichdi from a group, the group's stored profile is retained for a reasonable window in case you re-add it, then deleted.

Terms.
Last updated: June 29, 2026
By adding Khichdi to your group, or by texting its number, you agree to these terms. They're short.
What Khichdi is
Khichdi is a software service that suggests venues, travel, and events based on requests you make to it. It's a recommendation tool, not a booking agent. When you book something it suggested, you're transacting with that third party (a restaurant, an airline, an Airbnb host, Ticketmaster), not with Khichdi.
Accuracy
Khichdi pulls from live data, but third-party sources can be wrong or out of date. Prices change. Flights cancel. Restaurants close. Check the link before you commit money or travel. We don't warrant the accuracy of any specific recommendation.
Your responsibilities
- Only add Khichdi to groups where the other members are okay with it. They will see its replies; it will see their messages. Tell them.
- Don't use Khichdi to spam, harass, or do anything illegal.
- Don't try to extract other groups' data or break the service. You'll be removed.
Availability
Khichdi is in early development. Things will break, change, and occasionally go down without notice. No uptime guarantee, no service-level agreement. It's free to use and offered as-is.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Khichdi. This includes a bad meal, a missed flight, or a friend who thinks your pick was mid.
Changes
These terms may change. We'll update the date at the top of this section. Continued use after a change means you accept the new version.
