Khichdi is a conversational assistant you can add to your group chat or reach by texting its number. For it to be useful, it sees the messages you send it. This page explains what we do with that.

What we collect

• Messages sent in groups Khichdi is in, while it's in them. It can't see messages from before it joined.
• Group metadata: group name, member phone numbers (visible to any participant in a WhatsApp group), and the profile your group admin gave us during onboarding.
• For SMS users: your phone number and the messages you send to Khichdi's number.

What we don't do

• We don't save your conversations. Chats are not logged, archived, or stored on our servers.
• We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers.
• We don't read your other chats. Khichdi only sees groups it's been added to and texts sent to its number.
• We don't use your messages to train a public model.

What we do with it

Messages and group profiles are used to generate replies through Anthropic's Claude API. Third-party tools we call to find places, flights, stays, and tickets (Google, Skyscanner via RapidAPI, Airbnb via ScrapingBee, Ticketmaster) receive only the specific search parameters needed. Not your message history.

Retention

We do not save conversations anywhere. Recent message context is fetched on demand at the moment Khichdi needs to reply, used to generate that reply, and then discarded — not persisted to a database or written to logs. Group profiles (the lightweight preferences your admin set during onboarding) persist while Khichdi is in your group. If you remove Khichdi from a group, the group's stored profile is retained for a reasonable window in case you re-add it, then deleted.

SMS & texting

If you text Khichdi's number, you're opting in to receive conversational replies to the messages you send. Message frequency varies based on how often you text. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
